Dr. Kendall Smith, ND is a Naturopathic Physician whose interests include gastrointestinal disorders, integrative pain management, mental health, autoimmune disease, hormonal imbalance, thyroid and adrenal dysfunction.
She is passionate about making naturopathic and integrative medicine accessible to all ages and populations. Her approach to medicine is identifying underlying causes of disease and treating patients using the therapeutic order- starting with the least invasive methods that are safe, evidence-based, and effective. She works closely with her patients to develop treatment plans that are collaborative and specific to their individual needs. Dr. Smith completed two years of general medicine clinical rotations and a residency through Bastyr University Clinic in San Diego, California with focused clinical experience in treatment of chronic pain, mental health, autoimmune disease, gastroenterology, and endocrinology. She completed several off-site rotations and internships at low-income community health clinics working with diverse populations. She completed additional training in prolotherapy, and integrative primary care for women. She is actively pursuing research opportunities and has collaborated with Scripps Integrative Medical Center on a cohort study involving lifestyle interventions and weight loss. Dr. Smith received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University California. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in biology with a concentration in anatomy and physiology from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. In her spare time, she enjoys surfing, hiking, snowboarding, and cooking. She is very excited to return to her home state of Oregon and provide patient care at Alive Integrative Medicine.
